Moving into ‘town’ for the season to experience more of the territory lifestyle in the Dry season, Kim is working for an Aboriginal owned business here locally and we are now towing a beaut fishing boat we picked up which allows us to get out into some remote and wild territory to fish and photograph.

December 2016 – April 2017 | Crab Claw Island Resort, Bynoe Harbour (NT)

Crab Claw Island Resort on Bynoe Harbour gave us a great chance to explore Dundee, Bynoe and its surrounds, as well as world class Litchfield NP and many other great natural wonders. Employed as ‘all-rounders’ for the Wet season kept a roof over our heads and boosted funds for us to continue traveling.

The fishing there was SUPERB and we are relishing the opportunity to live through a NT west season (and a very wet one at that!) With a category 2 Tropical Cyclone passing right on our doorstep in February, we had to batten down the hatches and hold on tight.

October 2016 | Port Warrander (remote fishing camp), Mitchell Plateau WA

A few weeks off from working on the Gibb gave us the chance to pack up our fishing gear, fill up the eskys and fuel jerries and head up towards Kalumbaru in the North of the Kimberley for 2 weeks of rough camping and boat based fishing with our good mate Healey. It was a great chance to try some remote aerial scenic shots with a DJI Phantom 3 Pro I had borrowed from a friend!

April 2016 – November 2016 | Mt Barnett Station, Gibb River Road, Kimberley WA.
